To find Chinese names and titles in MadCat, it is best to search in both Wade-Giles and Pinyin romanization systems in order to get comprehensive search results.
For example, search for both Lao-tzu
and Laozi

MadCat records are in the process of being converted from Wade-Giles romanization to Pinyin romanization. All titles cataloged after October 1, 2000 are in Pinyin romanization, while all titles cataloged before October 1, 2000 are in Wade-Giles romanization.
