Possible reasons for this message:
- There is a displaying bibliographic record in MadCat, but there are no holdings to display.
- There are multiple holdings for this item and they cannot be displayed in the MadCat record. Refreshing or reloading your browser may help. Otherwise check Voyager Cataloging to assess holdings information, especially holdings which could be suppressed.
- Records for series that are cataloged and classified as individual monographs (class-sep series). The location (e.g. biol, clsep, gls, cls) in the holdings record for the series has been set to suppress, but the bibliographic record is still displaying. Examples: Acta horticulturae; Animal natural history series. You can verify that this is a class-sep. series by clicking on the title link in the MadCat record. This will give you a list of the individual titles in the series. Class-sep records need to be suppressed one-by-one; they cannot be batch suppressed. Notify the cataloging department so that staff can suppress the record.
- Records for incorrect orders that migrated from NOTIS. Check MadCat to see if there is another copy of the title. For titles without a copy on campus, if the patron is interested, attempt to find a copy of this title that can be obtained on interlibrary loan. These bibliographic records can be manually suppressed as they are found. Notify the Acquisitions Dept. responsible for the order so that staff can suppress the record.
- Titles for which a bibliographic record has been created (or imported from OCLC) but the order record has not yet been created. This should be a very brief period of time.
- There may be an error. Contact MadCat Feedback.
