Help: Course Reserve

A Course Reserve search in MadCat allows you to search for non-electronic items that have been placed on reserve for a class. *Note: To access electronic course reserves, log in to My UW, click on the Academic tab, look for the list of courses in which you are enrolled, and click on the "Reserve" links.

To perform a Course Reserve search in MadCat for non-electronic materials:

  1. Select one item from one or more of the following drop-down menus: Instructor, Department, or Course.

    Course Reserve Search

  2. Click the Search button to begin your search. Click the Reset button to clear the Search page.

Tips:

  • The most efficient method of searching is by Instructor and Course, although some browsers have trouble displaying the entire course list. You may need to search by other methods.

  • Instead of scrolling, highlight a box and type the first letter to jump to that portion of the list. For example, type s for Sociology (Windows Only)

  • You cannot limit a Course Reserve search.

For more information about course reserves, see the campus libraries' course reserves information page. Contact Reserves staff at campus libraries if you are having difficulty finding course reserves. Some materials may also be available through faculty or department home pages.
